Katie joined the Foundation Board in 2022. She received a Bachelor of Art degree from Furman University and is originally from South Carolina. Katie and her husband Mark have lived in Peachtree Corners since 2006. Their son Brandon has attended Gwinnett County Schools since kindergarten & is NHS class of 2026. Katie worked in marketing and advertising for 20 years and is the author & illustrator of two children’s books. She is a member of Simpsonwood UMC where she is also a part-time teacher at the preschool. She teaches a children’s craft camp at her home in the summer and is also a fitness instructor at the YMCA. Katie and Brandon are current members of the Young Men’s Service League (YMSL) and are actively serving the community.
