Nathan Slaff was asked by Principal Mary Ann Charon during the 2003 – 2004 school year to restart the Norcross High School Foundation for Excellence (the “Foundation”) after it had been dormant for several years. He served on the Foundation Board for nearly six years and was president for four. When asked about Foundation achievements, he mentions how the Board created the Gala to be an opportunity for supporters of NHS to have both an evening of their own while providing funding for various school programs, equipment and supplies. Nathan is the Managing Consultant of Horizon Actuarial Services, LLC’s Atlanta office and an owner of the company. He and his wife, Laurie, have two sons who both graduated from NHS. Barry, class of 2007, attended the University of Pennsylvania and is a software engineer at Amazon in Virginia. Jared, class of 2009, attended the Jacob School of Music at Indiana University and is a solutions consultant at Lexis Nexis in Colorado.
