NHS Foundation for Excellence Receives Over $67,000 from Community and Foundation Donors

We are thankful to have received over $67,000 in generous gifts from our community and foundation donors. These grants will support programs like After School Matters and in-class technology advancements.

Grantors include

  • Lowe’s (Beaver Ruin)- $5,000 
  • Franklin Foundation – $7,500
  • Kinder Morgan Foundation- $2,500
  • Scott Hudgens Family Foundation – $10,000
  • Community Foundation of Northeast Georgia – $10,000 
  • Rotary Club of Gwinnett County – $2,500
  • Chapman Foundation – $8,000
  • United Way of Greater Atlanta – $15,500
  • Publix Super Market Charities- $500    

We are thankful for the recognition and support from community leaders on our the Foundation’s continued work and in particular the After School Matters program. Our teachers and mentors have had tremendous success serving academically at-risk 9th and 10th graders by developing their study and organizational skills. They also help them connect to the broader school community through extracurricular activities.
